I sat on the couch and pulled up the blanket. Guess what I found, a tennis-ball.
The ball reminded me of Rex my 2 year old jack russel-terrier. He’s small but chubby dog with the energy of a 6 year old. Rex has white fur and a brown ear. His favorite thing to do is hide in a bed. When we can’t find him we search every room. Sometimes he runs all over the yard.
Dad opened the door to let Rex outside. Percy our girl jack russel, pulled Rex out the door. They took off so fast they looked like white bullets. Sniffing the nabors dogs, they began to run up and down the fence. Our nabors don’t like this but at least the dogs get exercise. As soon as he finished sniffing, Rex took off to the front yard. There they stood by the road. Mom and I ran outside and called them. Only Percy came back. Tail wagging, Rex stayed by the road. Just as a second car came by he ran under the fence into our nabors yard. We followed him through the yard. Slimjim, our nabors dog, escaped but Bevo was attacked. Bevo cried and Percy jumped in. All three dogs were hurt but Bevo had to go to the vet. After Bevo got home we went check on him. Mrs. Michelle took good care of Bevo. Unfortunately he had a ring around his neck so he wouldn’t lick his wounds. Both mom and dad had to pay the vet bill. In the end Bevo was ok.
